F8 indeed gives me a new version of the missing toolbar -- who knew? It reminds of the old days, when each program required knowledge of mysterious commands to use its most basic functions. I had also found the disappearing toolbar at the bottom of the page, though I hadn't figured out to click the Acrobat logo to make magic happen. Still, the resulting print dialog box is a pretty big step down from what I had before, which I assume was the print dialog from Adobe Acrobat (not Adobe Reader). When I needed full Acrobat functionality, I copied the PDF to the desktop and opened it from there. The other 95% of the time, the toolbar gave me sufficient control to easily copy, print, enlarge, reduce, etc, all from within a SM browser window -- I assume it was a plug-in from Adobe Acrobat, not from Adobe Reader? I know I've lost this before after upgrading SM, and always found a way to get it back -- but I sure can't remember how. The magically appearing Reader toolbar is a pale imitation of the real thing -- OK I guess if you're getting software for free, but an awful substitute for the serious version.
