For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of
Java. Please upgrade to the latest version.
So I clicked on the "upgrade to the latest version", downloaded
jre-7u10-linux-i586.rpm and installed it. When I restarted SeaMonkey, I
found that it still didn't have Java operational.
I do have in /usr/local/seamonkey/plugins the link
libnpjp2.so -> /usr/java/latest/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so
That's the one that works with Firefox.
Is it possible to get Java to work with SeaMonkey yet?
Thanks,
Craig
I had the sane problem with Windows Vista. I had to tried uninstalling
the old version of Java and 7u10 and tried reinstalling. That didn't
solve the problem. I then uninstalled a Java program Javafx 2.1.1 and
7u10. Then I rebooted and installed 7u10. This solved the problem. Seems
that javafx was the problem.
I don't know about Linux but maybe that could be your problem also.
