The whole point of pdf.js is that it's not exactly a plugin. With plugins, the browser hands the file to an external process and just reserves a space in the screen for that external process to display the results. With pdf.js, all the rendering is done inside Gecko itself, which supposedly makes the experience more smooth and seamless. With that said... I'll probably end up disabling it.
