The only Chrome folder I can find is application chrome where all the

rolled back to, 2.1.

$PROFILEDIR/chrome is an optional directory. If you don't have one, nothing
was ever installed that needed to put anything in it. Long ago it was created
by default to contain example userChrome and userContent CSS files. I have no
idea when that stopped, but likely it was more than a year ago. Longer ago it
was a required directory. rv1.9.x was probably the last version that needed
it, but it might have been rv1.8.x.

userChrome.css and userContent.css never existed by default. What was
created in each profile/chrome directory was userChome-example.css and
userContent.css. Unfortunately there was/is a bug that prevented the
profile/chrome/ directory being created and thus also missing the
contents of the chrome/ subdirectory. We fixed that once but I think
it's broken again.

Now I'm really confused. I've tried to follow through the stages of this discussion, but decided that I was lost. Philip, you must be speaking a different language. When I work through the tree from C:\ to my profile, right there is a directory (folder?) named Chrome, and it contains the files that the posters say are missing. Yet there they are, and have been through every iteration of SM. Never had to create this, it just followed along. What am I missing?
