Thanks, bts, for the help. I just reverted to SM 2.16.1 to be able to delete rows short term, and appreciate your recommendation of where to turn next; I did not know that Composer is no longer developed. [My code is messy because I'm not a programmer and have relied on many generations of prepackaged editors, back to Netscape Composer.]
