Thanks Ray ...but .... :-)

WaltS gives me
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/releases/2.21
In fact i prefer http://ftp..... over ftp://ftp....
But, both solutions are equal :-)
FTP presents the versions in more logical order, with 1.0 above 1.0.1
and not below 1.0.9 as presented by HTTP, so you are more likely to
spot the version you seek if you use the FTP display.

Philip Taylor
I have carefully examined both solutions, and both did not have the
correct order.
Your exemple shows an error with http, but i see a similar error with
ftp like
2.2 before 2.21 and 2.3 after 2.21 :-)
So i say, like you, but the other way around:
HTTP presents the versions in more logical order, with 2.3 above 2.21
and not after 2.21.
I think that the best order is when the list is ordered by the release
date.

that would indeed make the most sense, especially to someone new to the
whole thing. The world could also stop using decimals incorrectly but
that ship sailed. :-)

If TPTB were to call the versions 2.00, 2.01, 2.02, 2.02.1 ....... 2.21, 2.22, 2.23 would all be in order!

Maybe starting with version 3.00, whenever that comes out!!
