They say that OSX is based on Linux and it is common nowadays to do an
online upgrade from one version of OS to the next version of OS.
Something like doing xp to vista update by running an "upgrade" while
being connected to the world wide web. If the net connection is not
reliable then it is likely to fail.

But I've always thought that Ubuntu looks a lot like it (like SnoLep,
