The problem is that I have a page in my Web site for listening to streaming radio broadcasts (mostly classical music). The page has links to launch applications outside of SeaMonkey to play the streams. On Windows XP, this worked even for .pls links; on Windows 7, this no longer worked. Here is my solution: 1. I created a folder named "musiclinks" in my mirrored Web site on my PC. 2. On each .pls link, I right-clicked and selected Save Link Target As with the location in the "musiclinks" folder. 3. For each downloaded .pls file, I changed the name to abc.mp4, where "abc" was the call-letters of the radio station. 4. On my Web page, I changed the .pls links for launching the streaming applications to be relative links to the appropriate .mp4 files in "musiclinks". 5. After testing all links on the Web page, I uploaded the revised Web page to my ISP's Web server, created folder "musiclinks" on the server, and uploaded the .mp4 files. There might still be some tweaking required, but my <http://www.rossde.com/music.html> now works. -- David E. Ross <http://www.rossde.com/> Where does your elected official stand?
