Nice, but does this work in SeaMonkey web browsers too? It doesn't seem
to work for my v2.23 browser and its value was "3". I changed it to "0"
to show the close button only in the active tab. I only see the close
button in the far right of the tab strip. :(
Because I don't want to shut down my mail-news session if I change
SeaMonkey profiles (I actively use 3 different profiles), I use
Thunderbird for mail-news. Thunderbird has the X to close a tab
directly on the tab.
I much prefer Sea Monkey's X at the far right. I'm old. My eyes are
not great (but not yet time for cateract surgery). My hand is not
always steady. With Thunderbird, I sometimes close a tab when I really
wanted to select (not close) the tab to its right. With SeaMonkey, I
usually have space between the right-most tab and the X.
I rather agree, as I can just leave my cursor over the single X and
multi-click to close Tabs in succession.
And I'll also point out that this user makes/confirms the *requirement*
for *all* interface buttons being larger than the cursor - at *least*
the size of the ones in the Toolbars...
