Been using it for years, both Mac and Windows, works just fine. Issues
tend to be at the ISP end (the server I run never gives me problems, the
account I have at GoDaddy sometimes shows symptoms of overload).

YMMV, of course, but I've found that SeaMonkey does not do offline
access to synchronized IMAP folders very well. Subscribing has not
enabled offline access to most folders I've used. Online is great.
Offline, not so much.
