I've seen this a few time now...if I'm trying to save a NG post to an
on-disk Folder by drag and drop, SM Mail seemingly freezes, but I can
still use the Browser, click around Mail, mark a NG Read, etc. All this
while a *blue* "spinning pizza-wheel of death" is spinning.
And whassup with the *blue* pizza wheel vice the OX X default rainbow
one? Is this another instance of SM stepping on a standard OS X
interface activity? No other app on my machine alters the
wait-wheel...not one!
Neither of these were happening prior to SM 2.26 Mac.
That's just the new SeaMonkey "app busy" cursor. The old one used to
have a much smaller, black spinning ball. The new one is, well, new. I
see it whenever opening a newsgroup message or when SM is syncing an
IMAP account and that account has focus.
yes, it was always there, just not the eye-catching BRIGHT blue it is
now. ahhhhh for the days when Mozilla worked well with the amount of
RAM it was /supposed/ to need (not ten times that).
I've never noticed that SM did anything different from the System during
wait...not for Mac OS, anyway. Did I miss something here?
never tried the saving thing, Rufus asked about. If I want to keep an
NG post I always forward it to myself via email. That way my other
machines get a copy when I check mail on them..

I use drag and drop for about everything I can - I've been dragging NG
posts to Folders far longer than I've been dragging and dropping URLs
into the Bookmarks Sidebar to save them.
But I do like your approach for dealing with multiple machines! I do
that by noting what is Unread on the next machine and also dragging those.
