I've seen this a few time now...if I'm trying to save a NG post to an
on-disk Folder by drag and drop, SM Mail seemingly freezes, but I can
still use the Browser, click around Mail, mark a NG Read, etc. All this
while a *blue* "spinning pizza-wheel of death" is spinning.

And whassup with the *blue* pizza wheel vice the OX X default rainbow
one? Is this another instance of SM stepping on a standard OS X
interface activity? No other app on my machine alters the
wait-wheel...not one!

Neither of these were happening prior to SM 2.26 Mac.

That's just the new SeaMonkey "app busy" cursor. The old one used to
have a much smaller, black spinning ball. The new one is, well, new. I
see it whenever opening a newsgroup message or when SM is syncing an
IMAP account and that account has focus.

...I've never seen a black ball, ever that I can recall - just the OS X
System default one. Why monkey with that?

Or is SM 2.26 also hanging up on me more noticeably?

I always took it to mean that if SM itself stopped to think, I get the "SM working/thinking" symbol....and if it stops too long, I get the OS thinking/working symbol. (aka "pinwheel of death"....from years back on Mac groups). It's usually when I click to delete a god-awful huge HTML heavy message from someone, and then click to switch to a different account .5 seconds later. SM says, "oh, wait....what?....Oh, OK"

SM has always taken a long time to delete large HTML heavy messages, IDK why, and I have no basis for comparison. Anyone with ten times the RAM they /should/ need for SM, likely never sees it.
