This all started with the ugrade to 2.26.1 prior to that all was fine .
Just out of curiosity, could you try toggling
"network.auth.force-generic-ntlm" in about:config and see if that helps.
Toggling it helped me with a login problem on a web site earlier today.
If it doesn't help, just reset it.
