@question: I have both (note my email address) & have not had any issues since upgrading to 2.6.1. It sounds like your master password may have been corrupted? You might try resetting your master password to see if that resolves the issue. Your outgoing SMTP server settions should be: Server Name: smtp.att.yahoo.com (can also be 'outbound.att.net') Port: 465 User Name: <your complete email address> Authentication method: Normal password Connection Security SSL/TLS >> >> >> Same version if I use gmail server with gmail account e-mail.. password >> is not asked for >> >> >> This all started with the ugrade to 2.26.1 prior to that all was fine . > > > Just out of curiosity, could you try toggling > "network.auth.force-generic-ntlm" in about:config and see if that helps. > > Toggling it helped me with a login problem on a web site earlier today. > > If it doesn't help, just reset it. > @WaltS48: I would recommend against having a user toggle ntlm to 'true' unless they actually know what it is for. And even then I'd not recommend it be left at that setting. <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NT_LAN_Manager> <http://passing-the-hash.blogspot.com/2012/07/using-pth-firefox.html> Further, I seriously doubt that yahoo uses ntlm on their SMTP servers. _______________________________________________ support-seamonkey mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
