since upgrading to 2.6.1. It sounds like your master password may have
been corrupted? You might try resetting your master password to see if
that resolves the issue.
That seems to be a pretty radical suggestion. Resetting the master
password would cause all stored passwords to be lost. The user is only
having trouble with one account, so maybe a flamethrower approach isn't
yet warranted.
