Or is it just me? I had to click on Nickname column and then
click on
Name column to fix it. I didn't have this problme in previous
versions.

I can confirm I'm seeing this same issue since the upgrade to 2.29

I have the same problem. I changed the parameter for sorting in
View >
Sort By from Name to something else and then back again, and it
straightened out. After I closed the window and opened it again, the
names were scrambled again. I have to change the sorting parameter
from
Name and back again to get it sorted properly.

I have multiple addressbooks. Going to another addressbook will show
this problem. :( I am back to v2.26.1 for now due to this and history
problems. :(

It's fixed in 2.30 Beta.

Cool. http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.30/ doesn't
say it yet?

I noticed that too. But it does seem to be fixed.

Cool. I tested in a test Mac machine yesterday at work with fake addressbook entries. I will wait a little longer for the other issues.
