The browser has canceled the request for your protection and security.
web search:
"Access to the port number given has been disabled for security
reasons."
should cpome back with this in the results:

Yes, I have this preference from earlier in the about:config...
-----(Cut)-----
network.security.ports.banned.override;993,465
-----(Cut)-----
I don't see such thing in my about:config as
network.security.ports.banned.override
You have to add the key.
But I have tested this and it still does not work. Just tried for a new
install of SeaMonkey on Ubuntu and the server's IMAP/SMTP servers on 143
& 2525 ports receptively but the override does not enable the exception
button.
user_pref("network.security.ports.banned.override", "143,2525");
Where I have this working in TB, but was setup a while ago so this may
be a new problem <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1109595>
But testing self-signed cert works on a developmental server is no
problem adding cert exception for HTTPS port 443. So this seems to only
involve adding the exception for other protocols.
