By freeze, do you mean "awfully slow", or "SM is done but page is still
incomplete"?
Freeze as in forever with high CPU usage. Slow, as CPU high but not frozen.
If the former, here's something you can try to speed up ABP. Open ABP
Preferences, sort filters by Hits, then disable all filters with 0 hit.
ABP with still block ads on pages you go to regularly. (If you ever
stumble upon an unblocked ad afterwards, you can enable all filters
back, reload the page, sort by hits again, and disable 0-hit filters
again. This way the filter corresponding to the offending ad will be
enabled for future browsing.)
Wouldn't blocking ad shouldn't be hogging like that?
