It does appear that "View Selection Source" is broken in 2.40. "View >
Page Source" still works.
Yeah view page source works, but not its selection source. I checked
in Firefox v45.0.1, and it didn't have this problem. :(

You want to help out the 5 volunteers with jobs, family commitments,
health issues working on SeaMonkey or just be cranky. It is being
investigated.
Looks like more Mozilla changes to Firefox breaking things. Might be a
hint. ;)
