That's what you have now, not what they're offering.
with an "UPDATE NOW" button to install this vulnerable version
Does the "update now" button /really/ install the same vulnerable
version, or does it offer the latest version as expected? That would be
a shocking change from the policy that has existed for years.
Please don't assume stupidity until you have real evidence for it.
