Correction: "... NOTHING in them."

Sorry, I misunderstood what you asked me to look for. There were 9999
'sessionstore' files and most where shown as having anything in them.
Should I just delete them all?

I only have two:
sessionstore.json
sessionstore.bak

The json file contains the browser configuration and I think is used to
restore the session. I tend to be cautious: try (with SM closed) just
moving them all to another directory then restart the browser.

I found the two files you mentioned plus 'sessionstore-1.json' through 'sessionstore-9999.json'.

Only the file listed as 'sessionstore.json' had a value - about 800, and all of the numbered 'sessionstore-x.json' files (x = 1 through 9999) listed a value of '0'. Out of desperation, I moved 'sessionstore.json' and all 9999 of the numbered 'sessionstore-x.json' to the recycle bin.

Restarting SeaMonkey, the problem had disappeared and I don't find anything else has gone wrong. Could this mean that v.2.46 has a 9999 limit on the number of sessionstore files that can be stored?

My inclination is to dump all of the files in the Recycle Bin. Yes? No? Do something else?
