Which theme do you have problems with? Modern was never supported or
adapted on/for OSX I think and any custom theme might just need an
update.

something from the default theme and dumped it into the other themes,

Why does Adrian Kalla's build of the same version work perfectly,
where the SM builders' build does not? When is Kalla's stuff going to
come back online? It should be obvious by now that the broken server is
not going to be fixed.
I solved the problem. There is a new stylesheet in the default theme
called "messageQuotes.css" that was not in any of my added themes. I
added it, and now the compose window works with all of them.
In fact, I am using it right now.
