Yes, I did. However, its URL then becomes "chrome messenger
SeaMonkey", and the computer rejects the hybrid URL. The  "      "

Whose URL? Why should there be any URL there? It's just a toggle, yes/no. That choice is independent of the start page option below it.

If you want a blank start page, uncheck the box next to
[ ] When Mail launches, show the Start Page in the message area

If you want something else, enter a valid URL. No?
