PS: does SM 2.53.3 work with macOS Catalina?
In my Win 7 SM 2.49.5, if I select File -> Off line -> Download/Sync
Now, a screen pops up where I can select to Download 'Mail messages'
and/or 'Newsgroup messages'. I'm guessing if I don't want to download
'Newsgroup messages', I'd deselect it!
That would solve my issue!

Download/Sync Now to see for yourself??
