If you had read the documentation you would know that a Freenet datastore
is not the same as a directory full of mp3s.
Freenet will create its OWN files in the data store. To do this it will
delete the contents of the data store first.

This is why you should create a NEW directory for your Freenet datastore,
not use an existing one!

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to get your files back - you told
Freenet to use the C:\My Files directory (or wherever you kept your mp3s)
and so Freenet turned that directory into a Freenet datastore!

The next release of Freenet will bring up a HUGE message saying "THIS
DIRECTORY IS NOT EMPTY. ARE YOU SURE? CLICKING YES WILL DELETE EVERYTHING
IN THIS DIRECTORY SO YOU'D BETTER BE SURE" to try and prevent this
happening in the future.

Next time you would be advised to read the documentation before just going
ahead and doing something.

Someone once wrote to Microsoft technical support saying "I just typed
Format C: /U and now all my files have gone. What can I do to get them
back?" and they didn't even get a reply so think yourself lucky.
