Indeed, but you are mistaken in the perceived familiarity. It had/has NOTHING to do with his english, or spelling, or grammar. I just don't understand shite what he was trying to say, since with a normal install you don't need to move anything. As for the word 'shite'; dunno if that is all that rude: I took it from a bunch of Scotsmen that I knew, and they used it often, and in various contexts, which wasn't all that rude, actually.
It isn't that rude, but I certainly would not recommend its use in any formal context, in writing, or in discussion with someone whose sensitivities are unknown to you.
