EZ PostNET 5.1 now available from Life $uccess Institute
Delivers postal bar code capabilities to FileMaker Pro users
Bozrah, CT - February 19, 2001 - Life $uccess Institute has announced the
immediate availability of EZ PostNET 5.1, a less expensive alternative to
Barcodet for those who wish only to barcode mail pieces and feel they have
no need for other types of bar codes. EZ PostNET lets users add PostNET bar
codes to mailings generated directly from within their existing FileMaker®
Pro databases.
EZ PostNET consists of native FileMaker Pro files and a USPS approved
PostNET bar code font. There are no graphic images to store and maintain,
nor are there plug-ins to cause compatibility problems.
PostNET bar codes help to ensure more reliable and faster mail delivery.
Their use may also yield substantial savings in postage. EZ PostNET
recognizes 5-digit, 9-digit (Zip+4) and 11-digit (DPBC) postal codes and
automatically screens out invalid and foreign postal codes to prevent label
waste and incorrect mailings. Addresses can be exported in the
pre-configured ASCII, fixed-length field format required for USPS Address
Standardization, a free, one-time CASS service provided by the US Post
Office. On reimporting the modified addresses, the program automatically
parses combined field data back into the original fields. Users can also
reformat addresses automatically to remove punctuation marks, carriage
returns and double spaces, and to replace typical street designators with
standard USPS abbreviations, i.e., "Street" becomes "St" and "Turnpike"
becomes "Tpke", etc.
Facing Identification Marks (FIMs) for designing courtesy reply postcards
and mailpieces and a free copy of Zips USA with 49,000+ Zip Codes are
included with the program.
EZ PostNET is full-featured, easy-to-use, and extremely flexible. It is
easily integrated into existing database systems. EZ PostNET is available
