This is one of those problems I have seen several times, but don't
remember how I got past it. I do know I have seen it with FileMaker
files other than ebase. The first thing I would have tried is to make
a copy of the file, which I think I remember works. I expect the
suggestion of a bad sector would mean the file is trashed for good,
and I know I have recovered from this problem. Try making a duplicate
of the file, changing the name of the original and then the copy so
the copy has the name the original used to have, and opening it again.
