Thanks for your prompt reply. It's a relief to know someone is out there who
is an expert. Phew! My replies and one more question follow.
1. Value Lists.
I do understand that they are pre-defined values that I can change to match
our organization. I successfully changed a few. I'll try entering from the
payments file via the Windows menu. When I tried from the Payments tab,
there was no way to get to the Values List.
2. File conversions.
I'll try the multi-user technique. And thanks for the info about the icons.
3. Adding value lists to queries.
Here's an example. When I query in the payments file, I have to type the
member status (current, renewal) in the query field. What I'd like is a
pop-up of the same values that appear on the Payments data entry screen.
So, to clarify my question: Can I add value lists to fields in the query
engine?
4. Documentation.
Is the Admin document I find on the ebase web site current? I'm finding some
errors. Who should I send them to?
