Mac and PC FileMaker use the same file format, so no translation is 
needed. You've got the right idea, that the Creator and Type codes 
are not set when they come from the PC. Not sure how you changed 
that, but I suspect that it didn't get done right - the Mac still 
sees these files as belonging to a different application, either PC 
FileMaker or the runtime application. Are you attempting to open them 
by double-clicking the file? If you haven't already, try launching 
FileMaker, then using the menu item File>Open.
