Title: [support] Re: labels
On a PC, none of that complication is necessary.
Selecting Avery 5160 gets all the dimensions right.

Actually, that's a FileMaker function and works the same on either platform. If you're starting from scratch, that's the way to go and I should have mentioned that. The detail is useful if you're working with the existing layouts to make them work with a specific printer.

Subject: [support] Re: labels

I am having difficulty printing labels. I am using ebase with FileMaker Pro5.
I can find and query, preview my data, but I can't line up the data with the
10 down, 3 across labels.  When I follow the HELP instructions, I get as far
as "Custom" on paper size, but when I enter the label dimensions (1 X 2 5/8)
I am told the minimum is 3."  I would appreciate any and all help.
Thank you.

You should set the page up to be a standard 8 1/2 x 11 page - that's size of a page of labels. Then set the margins up to match the page - for Avery 5160 (3x10) choose 1/2 inch top and bottom, and .18 on the sides. Then (here's the key) set it to 3 columns. That makes it print 3 across.
