Sally Zaino's response reminded me to mention that you need a
full version of FileMaker to get to layout mode. If you're using the
runtime, you'll need to continue to trim label pages, or export a
merge file to run in another program such as your word
processor.
In response to Sally's suggestion for two lists, for FileMaker
users and Runtime users, I'd regret not seeing all the questions on a
regular basis. I think if we split the lists, the tendency would be
for the FileMaker users not to watch the runtime list, and we'd lose
the value of their input.
My suggestion would be for the runtime users, (and everyone, in
fact) to be very clear about the conditions at their site when they
ask a question.
- which FileMaker version
- which ebase version
- which operating system
and very specific details on...
- what you're trying to do
- what you have tried
- what happened when you tried that.
This helps all of us who watch the list get to the information
you need more quickly.
I cannot find a way to select an Avery label size. I am still at a loss to
make the labels print correctly. I do plan to try the first advice I
received, cut off 1/2 inch at the top of each label form.
I would really like to know HOW to get to a layout situation where I could
choose an Avery (or any other) label format. ------------------
