Ok, now I see both of those commands (one under the "scripts" menu and one
under the "records" menu) but when I click on the one under the "scripts"
menu it does nothing (I mean it, nothing) and when I go to the "records"
menu, it is faded out. What's the deal? I have Filemaker Pro v.5

Yes. There are two ways to do this. If you're using the runtime
version (i.e. you don't have Filemaker), there is a script to do this in
the Scripts menu item at the top of the screen (FM Replace Command). If
you're using Filemaker, you can do this through the scripts menu above
or through the Filemaker menu command (under the Records menu in v.5.0
and above, can't recall which it's under with v.4).
Be careful when using this function (especially with value lists),
however, because once it's done it can't be undone except with another
replace.
