Jennifer, Are you using a PC and did your backups come off of a CD? If so, your files are read-only and must be set so they can be modified. To do this, select all of them, right-click on them and go to properties, and unclick the 'read only' box. Then, try again to open ebase.
If you're still unable to modify them, I'm not sure what the problem may be, but post back to the list what results you get, and maybe others will have some ideas. I hope this will help. -- Eric Johnson -----Original Message----- From: Jennifer Rodriguez [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2001 9:46 AM To: TechRocks Support Subject: [support] RE: My supervisor did a recovery and ebase is lost.... I've done that also, but the problem is the same, it does not let me in, just repeats "This file is unmodifiable" and I keep on clicking okay, but it doesn't stop popping up. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eric Johnson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "TechRocks Support" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2001 11:28 AM Subject: [support] RE: My supervisor did a recovery and ebase is lost.... > Jennifer, > > Generally speaking, one should never replace a single file of the > twenty-some that make up the ebase database.
