Ugh.
That's the problem.  I just checked my filemaker folder and I have version
4.
Ugh.
Well that solves it then.  How frustrating!  Thanks for your help ...
(feeling sort of dumb here!)

I guess I have no choice but to look into upgrading --- will do that now....
