Just when I thought I was learning Filemaker a little better, I now find myself unable to do a simple query in a field within a portal to a related file. I thought this was possible (and that I had done it before!).
On one of the Custom screens, I have a portal that shows previous years' Attendance history for a given student in our database. I thought I could do a FIND within any of the related fields within the first row of the portal for a specific school year, but when I enter Find mode I can't access any of the fields in the portal! (I know I don't have a transparent button overlaying the portal row, and checking "Allow deletion of related records" makes no difference.)
