>I have a couple of questions, I am trying to keep track of renewal notices, so that ebase can tell me if a particular lapsed member has receive 2 notices or 3. How can I do this most simply?
When you send the renewals you can assign a source code and tell ebase to record the contacts. I don't know of any easy way to tell if there were 2 or 3 associated with a particular person. It may or may not be there. We keep track by doing things on a schedule. One month before expire they get a renewal notice. One month after expire those that have not renewed get a reminder note. Two months after expire those that have still not renewed get a stronger reminder. Six months later they get a rejoin notice. By doing it systematically we avoid using the tracking mechanisms. >I also want to add a field on our layout that will permit me to divide our members geographically. Specifically by county, is there any way ebase can automatically do this by me just entering the zip code? There is an existing field definition for County but it is not on a layout. We put it on the home and data entry layouts. Our zips file autofills the county from the zip, just like it currently does for city and state. Creating this information in the first place is a bit of a pain but most of it is available on the internet. ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
