We also have ArcView and Ebase. I am pretty sure that they can be linked via ODBC but have not tried it. I am a very novice ArcView user but working on learning it. I have plenty of expertise but not enough time. For those of you who think ebase documentation is thin, you should see ArcView's. They have lots of entry level how to do specific things but very little documentation of how to do things that they don't give examples of. Very frustrating for a techy who reads computer manuals for fun.
On the ArvView side I have linked our parcel data with the assessors data in a Dbase file to get the assessment codes for each parcel. That allows us to tell if the property is public and/or has buildings on it for instance. Assuming that there is a FileMaker ODBC connection which I am pretty sure is true, it should be possible to link from ArcView to Ebase. I am less sure about the other way around. ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
