Ebase 2 takes a different approach to Reporting and sorting than ebase v1.
Mostly sorting is done as a final step in readying reports or labels, We
have majorly increased the sorting and reporting options.

Before we get to that, the quick built in sorts.

>From Contacts Overview. Choose the list icon or list form the left hand menu
At the top of the list page next to the headings NAME etc you see a <A-Z>
<Z-A> these are sort "buttons" to sort you list.
The name sort is by Last Name. No it does not sort by zip code but does sort
by city name.

Now Sorting and reporting in ebase 2:
Reporting in ebase 2 is primarily done through intermediate spreadsheet and
word processor (such as excel-word, thought others will work just as well).
Once the data is in the spreadsheet it is open to easily doing a final
review, sort or data cleaning prior to merging into say a word document for
labels, envelopes, or a merge letter using tools you already know how to
use.

We chose this approach in ebase 2 because most users of ebase version 1 had
a hard time modifying or designing new "ebase/Filemaker Reports".
