I haven't used FileMaker mobile, but the JFile conduit I'm using does 
indeed sync both directions. I have no doubt that FileMaker mobile is 
designed to do that as well.

I would, however, have some concerns about syncing with a system as 
complex as ebase. For example, if you create a new record on the 
handheld then sync to move it into ebase names file, that update will 
bypass the "Add Name" routine and not create the related records in 
the custom, profile, and summary files that are required. Editing of 
data would probably work OK.
