Actually I think the installer changed your network preferences. My guess is that you are using ebase in a single-user configuration, that the Appletalk control panel is set to TCP\IP, and your TCP\IP control panel is set to PPP for dialup internet connection. I expect that when you installed FMP 5.5 the network preference defaulted to TCP\IP, so when you start it, it tries to connect you to a TCP\IP network. Open FileMaker, select the menu item Edit>Preferences>Application and set your network preferences to None. -- -- Dave Shaw H4 Consulting tel: 206-954-7526 fax: 206-625-1338 ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
