We run a script on the first of each month that counts the number of members in various categories, Current, Grace, Lapsed, etc. It writes the totals for that month to a new table that just records the monthly summaries. That can then be exported and reported on in various ways. I could post the script but it shows a number of other local modifications so those would have to be deleted to be useful.
