Just out of curiosity, what's the status of the Squid package? Last I
read, it was being revamped; and last time I tried, I couldn't get Squid
to work at all.

I think the focus is going into the release of 1.0 core at the moment
I have seen a suggestion that at release the packages will be assessed
and status will be updated.

This it completely understandable, and I think we all look forward to the 1.0 milestone.

Apart from that the attitude (quite rightly) is that this is Beta software
so try it and report back. Once 1.0 is out I assume the packages will either
come up to speed or be dropped before effort re-focuses on to the next
release

Thanks for the update, Scott! I've tried it in the past, an of course it's had its share of issues. I'll give it another try, and this time, I'll make it a point to be a little more proactive in reporting my results. Out of curiosity, are there any long-term side effects from uninstalling and reinstalling these packages multiple times?
