Please don't use this document for setting it up. It's outdated. I
recommend getting one of the newer snapshots from
http://snapshots.pfsense.com/FreeBSD6/RELENG_1/ as they have a new
mechanism of pool creation that should be much easier.
It comes down to basically just setup the pool(s) and utilize them as
gateway in your firewallrules settings.
Advanced outbound NAT is only needed if you add a CARP cluster to it or
work with multiple virtual Ips.

Subject: [pfSense Support] Pfsense load balancer and fail over
for outgoing traffic
Hi PFSENSE support,
First of all, i would like to introduce myself, my name is Eng,
i am working for a charity hospital in Malaysia name "Adventist
hospital" as IT network enginner, thanks for your information sharing on
the forum, your valuable information is appreciated, it is a good forum
with good resource on this website that people make a reference and
raise an question, by writing a letter, i would like to get some advice
from you about my PFsense server setup, now, i am setting up a PFsense
firewall for load balancer purpose and fail over function for our
hospital, i found this installation guide
,http://pfsense.iserv.nl/tutorials/outgoing_loadbalancing/outgoing_loadb
alancing.pdf) and other configuration guide from Internet, however, it
seem to be not working so, i have been reconfiguring over and over in so
many time , but it is still the same problem. below is my spec for your
perusal,
1) Pfsense server with 3 NIC ( LAN, WAN and OPT1)
2) 2 ISP Internet WAN line in SDSL with static IP
3) WAN=static IP, OPT1=static IP and LAN=static IP
4) IP WAN= 219.94.36.34, DNS= 202.188.1.5/202.188.0.133
5) IP OPT1= 61.4.110.200
6) IP LAN= 192.168.1.1
My intention is to build a redundacy approach for our hospital
service improvement for load balancing in Internet connection as well
as fail over function in the event of one of those line is unavailable,
please advice with a configuration guide how to configure the POOL, NAT
and rule, thank you very much in advance.
