I'm a *big* fan of GEOM labels. I use them on all my new systems I build, especially the ones with big RAID units attached, when the units can be reconfigured causing the disk device numbers to change. It is most annoying on boxes where the FC card probes before the internal disk controllers... GEOM is the way of the future :-) As are GPT partitions, but I digress...
