Visiting here in Los Aneles County, I found a 250 MB hard drive, a
14,400 modem, probably all the SIMMS I need, and other assorted
goodies for $20 U.S. total at a yard/garage sale. NOW I understand
the esthetics of putting together your own computer. So exciting to
track down what you need at a price you can afford! And the seller
was so happy to find a new home for his "junk" that his wife wanted
him to get rid of.

To explain that -- I have used Wang, PC, Mac -- I don't care. I just
want to feel at home in my computer and know what to do to get the
results I want. I become used to certain software and I am
comfortable with it. Also, my old computer has never done anything
terrible to me (or what I had stored on it). So I am happy with it.
I just don't have $200 for a new hard drive. And now I don't need
it. For the time being, the PC wins by price.

Thank you all.
