Hmmm... How much memory have you got? I installed RedHat here for a laugh last
night (it sucks, but then I'm a Slakware geezer myself) and the first thing it
does is load a RAMdisk - initrd is a compress root/boot disk under Linux in
general - for all the stuff it wants. If you don't have enough RAM it might
crash here. In that case, see if you can get a two-disk set - first disk
contains the kernel, second contains the root disk.
