Say hello to the next generation of Win-Devices:
WinMotherboards...
And we thought that WinModems were bad!

Obviously, you'll have to run Windows to use these boards.

Apperently, the idea is that like in the WinModem, Windows will
emulate certain chips on the motherboard, and this way these chips
will absent from the MotherBoard and allow a lower price. Unfortunatly,
this entire emulation will have a cost in speed, as this emulation
will result as more work for the processor. These motherboards will
have a 500+MHz.. some rumors claim, though, that due to the
emulation speed panelty, the actuall speed might actually be
around 350MHz and so. Intel promises to make the speed higher in
the next boards.

Personally, I believe that the entire idea is to find away to clug
the CPU with more work, so you'll have to buy a better, faster
computer later. I know it sounds like Wintel bashing, but I cant
find any logic in selling low-cost 500MHz which will run at the
same speed (and most probebly the same cost) of a real 350MHz computer.
