I agree with Lars-Einar Jansson. I do not believe either that this
is a concpiracy either, but somesort of a product of typical ignorace
and stupidity (like I allready suggested before).
Yet this entire tread only make the claim that DOS need a good
acrobat reader even stronger. Last time when I talked with Adobe
they said that they have stoped the development of the DOS version
because no one is using DOS these days. Is the PDF format is free?
I'm not so sure as the only programs that I have seen to this day
that which support the PDF format are from adobe, and the PDF designing
programs cost. So the only way here to do anything about this as I see
it is to convice Adobe to continue the DOS version. Only we, the
users can convice them that DOS is not quite dead as they think.
(If any of you will decide to talk with them, try to tell them about
the DOS WebTVs and thin clients which definetly require this reader.
Also tell them abuot the fact that most of the world still have
"old" 486s and pentiums (from experience, mentioning anything
less then a 386 make companies even more reluctant) that use DOS.
Also mention companies such as Caldera and PTS which still develop it.)
