It's even more simple than Will Baldwin wrote - the laws are there
already, and "website" laws called HTML and HTTP standards from the
very beginning of www use.

What is much more astonishing is the sheepish patience with with the
net "community" allowed some gangs to highjack the very road, setting
up toll stations every next crossing - "pay for new(our) gear/software
or you will not be allowed to go".

How far this process of mafiosic degeneration has got is amply
demonstrated with the example of the IRS tax forms that require Adobe.

I still wait for some reaction - from those people who yell havoc
about "government" interference - against the robbery of 60 bn $$ (or
how much is Gate$-&-Co now, three times that ?) out of all our pockets
just for the grace of being allowed to say "helo". If this is not
forced redistribution (and that's what those have it about who lament
about "taxation" and "government interference") then I don't knwo what
that could be.

And I don't know either what part of their brain had the burnout; they
get clobbed on their head in open street, praise the thief afterwards
and despise the cop who might save them from getting the next blow.

Or as someone in this list once wondered so profoundly:
I've yet to work out whether people are just ignorant or plain stupid.
